About Us

datatran has been established to provide a comprehensive database service, from the design of cost effective data input methods through to production of relevant and specified reports that appropriately convey the information required.

A consultative approach is employed to ensure that design and training are based on need, as opposed to adopting the presumption of a "one size fits all" standard solution will suffice.

Brian, the proprietor of datatran, gained his MSc (hons) from Waikato University in Earth Sciences. His working experience over the last 20 years includes:

  • supervising and logging rotary drilling
  • 2 and 3 dimensional numerical modelling of groundwater and slope stability
  • installation and maintenance of geotechnical & geoenvironmental software
  • hardware and networking maintenance & support
  • staff training and help desk support

Brian was introduced to gINT in 1993 and has been assisting users and developing gINT reports since.
